Answer
May I use the News stories on your site?
Yes, you can! We want to be able to spread the GPA news as widely as possible. There are two ways you can do this:
- If you have access to an RSS reader on your site, you can set it to http://thegpa.org/backend.php. This will give you all the news as it is posted to our site.
- Subscribe to our mailing list. You can sign up for it at http://thegpa.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=pnTresMailer&file=index. It will alert you to when new press releases have been posted. You have permission to cut and paste the News content from our site for your own use. All other content on thegpa.org is under the copyright of the Game Publisher's Assocation and those posting to the site.
How do I use the the Press Exploder?
The Exploder allows you to submit your press releases to the GPA news page and then have the web site distribute it by email to those that have subscribed to it. Using the Exploder is a two-part process.
- Click here to add your story to the GPA web site. This will put it on the site's News page and distribute your news to those sites that are the RSS functions of the GPA site. You will want to put it under the Topic "Press Releases" in order to have the Exploder mail it out. If you are copying and pasting from a word processor, pleased use the "Paste from Word" or "Paste as Plain Text" buttons. Failure to to this may result in the site rejecting your news release. News can be posted by either Associate or General Members of the GPA.
- After you have posted your news, click here to email your release. There are instructions there to carry you through the process, step by step. This function can only be accessed by General Members of the GPA.
